gmc
Worktree

List

List worktrees in the repo family.

gmc wt list shows the worktrees that belong to the current repo family.

Usage

gmc wt list
gmc wt ls

PR status

gmc wt list --pr

This checks review request status when gh or glab is available.

Diff base

gmc wt list --diff-base main

Use this when the default base branch is not the right comparison point.

Scan the home directory

gmc wt list -A
gmc wt list -A -o json

-A scans the home directory for repositories that have linked worktrees and shows each family's local status grouped by repository. Hidden directories and nested repositories are included; repositories with only a main worktree are omitted. Directory symlinks, Git metadata, node_modules, and on macOS ~/Library and ~/.Trash are not traversed. Unreadable directories are reported on stderr while scanning continues.

--pr and --diff-base apply only to the current repository and cannot be combined with -A.

Disk size

The SIZE column shows the allocated disk size of each worktree directory, for both gmc wt list and gmc wt list -A. Measuring walks every file, so large trees take longer to list. Symlinks are not followed, the top-level .git and .bare entries are skipped, and hard links count once per worktree. Sizes of different worktrees can overlap and are not reclaimable space. A worktree that cannot be measured shows - with a warning on stderr. With -o json, the size is reported as allocated_bytes. When it cannot be measured, allocated_bytes is omitted and the item gets "issues": [{"source": "size", "code": "...", "message": "..."}], where code is not_found, permission_denied, overflow, or scan_failed.

Color

Output is colored only when stdout is a terminal; set NO_COLOR to a non-empty value or TERM=dumb to disable colors. Piped and JSON output never contain colors.
